Nov. 5th-Pottsville Campus Holds 2nd Annual Family 1st/Safety 1st Event

The Pottsville Campus of McCann School of Business & Technology will be hosting the Second Annual Family First/Safety First Event from 9am-1pm on Saturday, November 5, 2011. This campus wide event is designed to provide valuable safety information to parents and family members and will include: fire truck and ambulance tours, safety trick or treat, crash test dummies, Smokey the Bear, Identity Theft Prevention Education, Blood Pressure and BMI Assessments as well as Cold and Flu Prevention.  The Medical, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, Business and Massage Therapy Club Members will be participating in this event.  

Participating Organizations include: Dentex Bus, Schuylkill County Dive Team, American Heart Association, Wachovia Bank, Cressona Fire Truck, Pottsville EMS, MediAlert, Center of Disease Control, and North Central Highway Safety Organization.  In addition, there will be pumpkin decorating for children, safe trick or treat, food and vendor sales, and a clothing swap.  

In addition, McCann will be a Check Point for the American Heart Association's First Annual Pottsville Heart Chase Event taking place the same day.  McCann sponsored a check point as well as a Heart Chase Team.  More information can be found at www.heartchase.org.
