Project SHARE reaches Carlisle Campus for Thanksgiving Food Drive

Carlisle, PA McCann campus holds Thanksgiving food drive in conjunction with Project SHARE.Carlisle, PA- As the holiday season quickly approaches, we individually and as a community contemplate various ways to contribute our service and make sacrifices to help those in need. This year many families will go without Thanksgiving dinner due to job loss, decrease in income, or other economic hardships. Project SHARE, a non-profit cooperative effort created to meet the needs of the hungry by providing supplementary food on a monthly basis anticipates serving 1500 low-income families during the month of November.

The McCann-Carlisle campus and Project SHARE invite you to partner with them to provide a Thanksgiving dinner to your neighbors in need.  By donating non-perishable food items, you will be contributing to the November distribution, which will provides local families with a Thanksgiving dinner bag. In an effort to help more families, the campus will be donating 50 food items in addition to what is donated by students, faculty, and the community.

If you have not yet been able to participate in this effort, we have come up with another way for you to show your support!  From now until Friday, November 18th 2011, our campus is running a “Food for Friends” campaign.  Stop by the front desk area, and refer the name and phone number of a friend or family member who you feel would benefit from receiving their education here at McCann.  Once we reach a total of 50 names; we will double our donation for a total of 100 non-perishable food items to Project SHARE.

So let’s help Project SHARE and our community members in need by donating and helping someone change their future and their life!

To refer a prospective student to McCann or donate items to Project SHARE, please stop by the front desk. The deadline to donate is Friday, November 18th. If you have any questions about the food drive, you can call the campus at 717-218-3400.
