The McCann cosmetology program is designed to provide competency-based knowledge, scientific/art principles, and hands-on fundamentals associated with the cosmetology industry. McCann’s advanced approach provides a simulated salon environment which enables students to develop manipulative skills and knowledge that can lead to an entry-level career in the field of Cosmetology. Upon completion of the program, the student will be prepared to take the Pennsylvania State Board licensing examination. Employment opportunities may include beauty salon spas, and other related businesses as a stylist, salon manager or owner, color specialist, educator, platform or makeup artist, manufacturer’s representative, cosmetic salesperson, and more.
Students taking a full-time schedule each term may complete this program in four consecutive terms or approximately twelve months; however, the length of time required to complete the program will vary depending upon the number of credits earned each term.
