39 Care Packages Mailed to the troops!
Pottsville, PA (12.13.16) – Students at the Pottsville Campus of McCann School of Business & Technology solicited support from the local community to prepare care packages and holiday cards for Schuylkill County Servicemen and women, who are unable to make it home for the holidays. Through the generous support of the community, the campus was able to prepare 39 care packages full of snacks, personal grooming items, books, magazines and holiday cards to send to our troops. Along with many anonymous donors, the following businesses and Schuylkill County residents contributed to this effort; H.B.Steel & Sons, Dunkin Donuts, Yuengling Brewery, Damiter Construction, Peggy Evans, Mike and Bonnie Yaniscavage, McCann Staff, Faculty & Students and the Orwigsburg Free Public Library. Many of the participating organizations included festive photos thanking the troops for their service.
“The students at McCann really embraced this initiative and it was heartwarming to see the tremendous community support for the men and women that serve our nation,” said Shannon Brennan, McCann Campus Director.
