Pottsville, Pa. (January 8, 2016) – McCann School of Business & Technology, 2650 Woodglen Rd., is hosting a free PC-Technology Workshop during its open house on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2016 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Room 117. The workshop will help students, faculty and the surrounding community troubleshoot and update their technology.

“This workshop will help people keep their technology in its best shape and teach them how to use the new technology they received for the holidays,” said Karen Damiter, Information Technology Program Director at McCann School of Business & Technology. “As a local school, we like to offer Schuylkill County residents as many resources as we can."

Damiter and three Information Technology students will run the free workshop. Workshop services include virus, spyware and malware removal, updating and adding anti-virus programs, general computer cleanup, backing up files to the cloud (music, pictures and documents), and setting up new tech-toys (phones, PC laptops and tablets).

Students will receive additional help setting up their school email, Office 365 account and wireless network set up.
