McCann School of Business & Technology Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

Pottsville, Pa. (April 21, 2016) – The McCann School of Business & Technology Pottsville campus, 2650 Woodglen Rd., is currently accepting scholarship applications. The deadline for 2016 high school graduates to apply is May 5, 2016.

Scholarship awards include:

  • President’s Scholarship - 25% tuition
  • Academic Excellence Scholarship - 50% tuition
  • Imagine America Scholarship - up to six $1000 awards given to students of the YES (Your Employability Skills) Program run in Schuylkill County high schools
  • Alumni Scholarship - $100 awards for books given per term to children of McCann alumni

“This is a great opportunity for McCann to help students fund their future education,” said Amelia Hopkins, Director of Admissions at McCann School of Business & Technology. “When potential students are considering schools, they often heavily weigh the financial commitment, and these scholarships are designed to lift some of that burden.”

To qualify for a McCann scholarship, applicants must be scheduled to graduate high school in 2016. Should the applicant be selected as a scholarship winner, they must begin McCann classes in the summer term (July or August 2016).

All applicants will take a SLE Wonderlict test. The 15 highest-scoring applicants will be asked to write a brief essay to be graded by the education department at McCann. Six students will then be interviewed by a Scholarship Committee, which is comprised of Judges representing Advisory Committee members, employers and campus staff. The committee will determine the award winners of the tuition scholarships based on a combined scoring of judges’ interview ratings.
