McCann Students Pass NHA Certification Exams
Pottsville, Pa. (April 21, 2016) – Three McCann School of Business & Technology recent graduates have passed their programmatic National Healthcareer Association (NHA) accreditation exams. These exams validate the skill sets learned in each individual program and are often needed or preferred by employers.
Ashley Watkins (Schuylkill Haven) and Kristie Wonchalk (Pottsville), graduates of the Phlebotomist program, passed the Certified Phlebotomy Technician Exam.
Shyane Dower (Girardville), graduate of the Clinical Medical Assistant program, passed the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Exam.
McCann covers the cost of the exam, encouraging all students to take their programmatic certification exams. These exams give students a competitive edge in the workforce since many employers either require or prefer candidates to be certified.
The 2015 exam results met the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) requirements, allowing McCann to maintain programmatic accreditation and uphold its existing certified programs.
