National AMTA Board Member Visits McCann
Pottsville, PA (September 14, 2016) – Christopher Deery, Member of the National American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) National Board of Directors, visited the Pottsville Campus of McCann School of Business & Technology. Mr. Deery spoke to students enrolled in the Professional Massage Therapy program about the positive impact that networking and volunteering in the field can have on advancing the career of massage and he also touched on the benefits of joining AMTA. Some of those benefits include: continuing education credits, access to liability insurance for practitioners and numerous networking opportunities. The speaking engagement was facilitated by Massage Program Director, Donna Bowen.
The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) is the largest non-profit, professional association serving Massage Therapists, massage students and massage schools. AMTA promotes massage to the public and the health care community, works to promote fair licensing of massage in all states and actively supports research.
