  • Industrial Safety: General safety practices and regulations will be examined in this course. Students will focus on identifying, correcting and avoiding unsafe workplace situations. Personal Protective Equipment and personal safety practices along with job specific safety techniques will be examined.
  • Introduction to Electrical Theory: This course will provide instruction on the various laws and principles of electricity. Electrical energy fundamentals will be examined along with the relationships of electrical quantities within Ohm's Law and the principles of magnetic induction. Calculations will be performed with series, parallel and combination circuits.
  • Electrical Motors: This course will provide instruction on the various types of electric motors and their applications. Topics consist of single-phase and three-phase motors, capacitor start/run motors, direct current motors and interpreting the nameplate data to provide the student with a working knowledge of electrical motors.
