According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the need for Surgical Technicians will increase 9% by the year 2028*, which means you’ll be able to put your Associate in Specialized Technology Degree to work when you graduate. Surgical Technologist
Surgical Technologists work in the operating room, passing sterilized tools and equipment to the nurses and surgeons as needed. After an operation, you will help to bandage the patients and take them to the recovery room where they will wake up from the anesthetics.
As a Surgical Technologist, you will be a vital part of the surgical team. You will help to ensure the patient''s’ recovery by preparing them for the procedure and preparing the room for surgery. You will assist the surgeon and the nurses to make sure everything runs smoothly.
