What to Expect
Applying to school is an exciting time but can also seem a bit overwhelming. There is a lot of admissions information to process and you may not know exactly what to expect when you apply. To help you understand the application and enrollment process, we’ve provided some information on our assessments, Foundation Courses and the financial aid process. This information will prepare you for the application process and help make it go smoothly.
When you enroll in McCann, you will be required to take the Smarter Measures assessment. Depending on your program selection, you may also need to take the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (WBST) and/or the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Examination (SLE). The WBST and SLE may be waived (your Admissions Representative can give you more information and answer your questions).
A student's score on the SLE or WBST assessment examinations determines whether or not a student will be enrolled in our Foundations Courses. These courses are designed to help students reach the educational standards that McCann School of Business & Technology expects from each of its students.
Foundation Courses are offered at regular tuition rates and are graded as Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory. These courses make sure that each student is equipped to handle college-level coursework and succeed in their selected program.
Perhaps one of the biggest questions about college admissions information is cost. McCann is affordable and we work with applicants to ensure they can afford a quality education. If you’re concerned about tuition, use our net price calculator to estimate your annual tuition payments. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. From there, contact our Admissions Representatives. Many of the students at McCann receive some form of financial aid through scholarships, grants or student loans. Our team is trained and ready to answer any questions you have about financial aid.
Before we can help you determine how much financial assistance you can receive, you’ll need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you need help filling it out, one of our qualified Financial Service Representatives will help you fill it out in a short amount of time.
We are here to help. Knowing what to expect during the admissions process takes away a lot of the anxiety that comes with applying to school.
